A full day beekeeping experience with Barry Darbyshire, resident beekeeper at Hatfield park, and Hannah Reeves, professional beekeeper.

We will start the morning with a hot drink and pastry before diving into the theory of beekeeping. We will cover a range of topics and conclude with a tasting selection of different honeys we produce.

A delicious two course lunch will be freshly prepared by the chefs at the Coach House Kitchen nearby. After lunch we will transport you through the Estate to the vineyard apiary. This private part of the Estate has a beautiful view of the river and folly and is home to several hives. We will demonstrate opening the hives and handling the bees before letting you have a turn.

At the end of the day we will take you back via a scenic route; crossing the river, through the woodland, and past Hatfield House itself.
